ThiS is haLloWeEN

I had a Halloween dinner the Sunday before Halloween. I had really good intentions of taking lots of blog worthy pictures--the kind Bakerella takes. Chelsea and I even discussed it ahead of time: this was going to be a blogworthy event.

And then...all the food needed to go in the oven at the same time and then I ran out of room in my fridge and the flowers needed to be spray painted and then I started to run out of time and luckily my fab friend Jess helped me set everything up, but then all the dishes started piling up in the sink and then all the food started coming out of the oven AT THE SAME TIME and then the candles needed to be lit and the dry ice put in the water and luckly my fab sister and brother-in-law came early and helped me with that, and then I had to put on my costume and curl my hair (cuz Little Orphan Annie does NOT have straight hair) and then all the people started coming dressed as skeletons and a hot dog and cowboys and three musketeers and even John and Kate and all sorts of other fun things, and then it was time to eat and then it was time for prizes and then my grandma tap danced for us (yes, she actually tap danced), and then it was time for everyone to get home because it was a SCHOOL night...gasp...and then it was quiet and I realized these were the only pictures I got...sigh...

oh well. Everyone had fun.

It still looks awesome. I love how you mentioned Bakerella - how I heart that woman. lol. But that always seems to be how is goes - when you are having fun and are caught up in the moment, who can think of anything else? And you created some awesome memories, sounds like, and that is all that matters ;)

T, I loved your party and I'm glad you blogged about it, even with only a few pictures. Did I tell you I tried making those skeleton cupcakes? I even bought the black food coloring from Michaels, mixed it up, and put it in a little baggy. I must have ended up cutting the hole too big because I thought they were no fail cupcakes but mine looked terrible. I ended up throwing the black frosting out and just using sprinkles :) So good work on making yours look so cute.

Your party was FAB. . . even if you don't have the FAB pictures to back it up! And. . . I even brought my good camera for the event, thinking I would capture great bakerella style pictures for you and then I could brag about your FABULOUS-NESS on my own blog, but ALAS. . . with Miles suddenly getting a fever, making sure my dip was ready to serve (yes, my one and ONLY food assignment), making sure my kids didn't knock over the fabulous dessert table, and other such things, it didn't happen!

BUT. . . WE YOU DID CREATE GREAT MEMORIES!

And, what in the world is that red stuff on Jackson's mouth? Talk about ghetto! Where was his mom?

I think its the orange sugar from the martini glasses you also provided. And just for the record, his mom is sitting behind him, and it looks like she is mocking him.

Oh, no! That is an awful picture. Mocking or constipated. . . no one will ever know! Thanks for pointing it out for all to see!
